Improving Lives, Preventing Violence
Who We Are
One Peace is an apolitical, interfaith, and non-profit peacebuilding association registered in the Republic of Cameroon. The association was founded in August 2018 by Dr. Nyadi Francios Ndzi and peers in their mid-20s. One Peace’s charter members come from diverse fields including peacebuilding, international development, research, agriculture and agribusiness, and information and communications technology. We are all dedicated to advancing peacebuilding and conflict prevention in line with our strategic priority areas.
Recognising that over 600 million young people live in fragile and conflict-affected contexts worldwide, and being directly affected by the conflict in the North West and South West regions of Cameroon, we decided to take action by engaging in peacebuilding. Our primary objective is to build resilient communities by empowering community members with the skills necessary to effectively participate in peacebuilding, conflict prevention, countering violent extremism and decision-making processes, particularly on issues that affect them.

Vision
Our vision is to foster resilient and violence-free communities for lasting peace in Cameroon and Africa.
Mission
Our mission is to build resilient communities and promote lasting peace by fostering critical thinking, skills development, collaborative problem-solving, and informed policy discussions.

Priority Areas
Our Strategy

Our peacebuilding strategy is based on three pillars: (i) research (ii) Community-Driven Solutions and (iii) evidenced-based policy recommendations. Research informs our peacebuilding activities, which are implemented with the full participation of community members and our findings from extensive research and community engagement guide us to produce policy-relevant documents.
Core Values

We are committed to peacebuilding done the RIGHT way! This means we are Responsible in our actions, Inclusive with our activities, Grounded through local actors, Hopeful for a peaceful world and Transparent and accountable to ourselves, the communities where we work and our partners.
